"The F on my Birth certificate wasn't for Female. It was for Fails To Pass." I joke all the time. The truth is that long hair, short hair, dresses, suits, makeup, clean face, laborer, model no matter what- there is always something off aesthetically or physically about how I fit in that turns every day into a dangerous balancing act- that hasn't gotten easier. But- every day that I live with honest expression, it's worth the trial. Because I am I. I can not be anything there than that. Or else I am not at all. I choose every day to accept the fact that I am not common. And that is scary to some who need predictability or commonness. I can not fault them for their feelings. And they can not fault me for mine. It's nothing to sulk over- we are all just evolving and experiencing our own limited journeys. So I take a moment to collect myself, be grateful I exist at all, and continue. For those who fear me, good luck on your journeys. I promise not to ignore you if you are in need, injured, hungry, asking for aid. I respect that you have your own feelings about me. Just don't get in my (or other people's) way of food, shelter, water, physical safety and freedom of movement/expression and we are all good. #EducateDontHate #IDoNotOwnYourFeelings #YourJourneyIsYourOwn #lovewins #lgbtq #genderfluid #genderqueer #StopHammertime #GenderIsTheMatrix photog @adrianbuckmaster (New photo left/older photo right)

Some may think this video is Gross. “Whyyy did you do that ? Ahhhh nooooo !” Was the first verbal response I got when I shared it to a close friend. But I just laughed. Because to me what is actually “gross” is how much shame people feel for their body being in its natural state. Not everyone naturally has body hair, but those that do (especially those that society identifies as “female”) are taught from a young age that their hair is disgusting. Not of their identity. Not pleasant for others. Something to be ashamed of and removed. The fact that we exist at all is a pure miracle. It’s complex and incredible. What it takes for the hair to exist on your body, should you have it, is a wonderful maze of science that requires a perfect combination of occurrences. Your hair is there to protect You from the suns rays, the environment, and even bacteria that clings to the body by bringing it farther from your skin. It’s functional. A part of your mechanics. So get rid of it if You like, but do it because that’s how You want to maintain your machine. Because hair or not- ugly is a feeling not an aesthetic. No amount of shaving or waxing will ever create true beauty. #WhatsTheFuzzAbout #EducateDontHate #BEardYOURSELF #genderqueer #Gendefluid #lgbtq #bodypositive #effyourbeautystandards #GenderIsTheMatrix @connor_landhauser
